Do you need help with changing needles in your Little Amanda 16 row smocking pleater? I’ve created a quick video showing you exactly what you need to look out for when changing the needles. Check out the video below…
If this doesn’t look like your pleater, maybe go back to the Changing Needles in a Smocking Pleater page to look for your pleater. Still having trouble? Drop me a line on my Contact Form and I’ll see if we can work it our together.
Quick Tips:
Always ensure your pleater is on a flat surface
If you have trouble removing the locking pin on the right hand side, just turn the handle slightly
Only use as many needles as your smocking project requires
You will generally only need a needle in every other slot
Always do a test run with a scrap of fabric when you’re finished
Always run a piece of waxed paper through to lubricate your needles before starting a new project
Worked it all out? Do you have your needles? Needles for Amanda Jane, Little Amanda and Super Amanda are all the same. Head on over to the Amanda Jane page to decide how many needles you need to buy. Turn your pleater over. Is it wobbly? Looks like you probably need a new set of feet! I have just the right ones on the Amanda Jane page as well.
