Do you need help with changing needles in your little baby Read 16 row smocking pleater? When you have a Read pleater, the needle mechanisms are different between models, and the needles are different between models. This video will show you how to change needles in the Read 16 row pleater.

Quick Tips:
Always ensure your pleater is on a flat surface
Don’t unscrew the locking screws all the way. Leave them in, and just flip the locking brackets forward
Only leave in as many needles as you need for your smocking project
Always do a test run with a scrap of fabric when you’re finished
Always run a piece of waxed paper through to lubricate your needles before starting a new project
