Do you need help with changing needles in your Sally Stanley smocking pleater? I’ve created a quick video showing you exactly what you need to look out for when changing the needles. Check out the video below…
If this doesn’t look like your pleater, maybe go back to the Changing Needles in a Smocking Pleater page to look for your pleater. Still having trouble? Drop me a line on my Contact Form and I’ll see if we can work it our together.
Quick Tips:
Always ensure your pleater is on a flat surface
Don’t unscrew the locking screws all the way. Leave them in, and just flip the locking brackets out
Only leave in as many needles as you need for your smocking project
Always do a test run with a scrap of fabric when you’re finished
Always run a piece of waxed paper through to lubricate your needles before starting a new project
Worked it all out? Do you have your needles? I have needles for Sally Stanley over in my store. Head on over to the Sally Stanley section to decide how many needles you need to buy. Turn your pleater over. Is it wobbly? Looks like you probably need a new set of feet! I have just the right ones on that Sally Stanley page as well.
