Hello, fellow crafter! I’m so glad you found your way to my online store. Based in Adelaide, South Australia, I sell my reconditioned pleaters, genuine brand name replacement needles and back issues of Australian Smocking and Embroidery Magazine all over the world!
How It All Began
It all started with Mum’s sewing patterns. I inherited all her patterns from the 1940s onwards. Even though I absolutely loved them, it felt like a waste just to have them sitting away in a box, so I decided it was time to share them. hat was back in 2014, when I first opened my Etsy stores. Since then, I have made over 9,000 sales, sending vintage treasures all over the world!
Spreading My Wings
Over the years, my passion grew into sourcing and reconditioning vintage Smocking Pleaters. After a wonderful decade on Etsy, I decided it was time to spread my wings and build my very own store. With a background in IT, and a passion for all things crafty, this seemed a good fit.
I personally recondition, clean, oil, and test every single machine I get, to give them a second life. I now ship these beautiful pleaters to passionate crafters all over the world. It is truly beautiful to see this lost art having such a wonderful revival.
